Managing multiple sources

by Gushluva

So I'm fairly new in the world of iptv, I've settled for using two different providers as I didn't find a service that would offer everything that I need.

Is there a way to make a channel group combining channels of two different providers?

If that is not possible, is there a way to rearrange channels in a custom group.

Bear in mind that I'm using an andriod box, with one provider on kodi and another on perfect player. I'd prefer a solution in kodi if possible.

I'm testing Tvheadend in Kodi, it seems quite flexible in having channels from different sources and you can arrange them as you wish (choose numbers etc)... however you'll probably spend more time setting it up than actually watching TV!

I'm using this service: https://xtream-editor.com

You can combine m3u lists and rearrange channels

Could you elaborate on which services you currently use and on what one is better than the other? Just for the sake of some additional info. :-)

I believe you can add both inside of Perfect Player. They will show up with little number subscript in each column

Not sure about the Android version of Perfect Player, but provided you can get M3U lists from the providers you can import both on the PC version. I recently faced a similar dilemma for my MAG 254, which resulted in me devising a ridiculous solution of running my own local Stalker server and importing both M3U lists (no EPG at the moment since I had to write up a quick application in Java to parse the lists and add channels via Stalker's backend SQL tables, otherwise you can't automate channel groups), but assuming you're not insane like me, switching portals or using Perfect Player is your best bet. (side note: if anyone would like me to write up my process, let me know)
