Nah got all that done in fact using it for a while with a sub but just can't figure out a way to press those coloured buttons with firestick remote. Like can't favourite a channel with yellow button.
It's under settings, configure keymap or something like that. You need to manually assign them.
If you don't have a button on your remote to map it to, the only option I've found is to use "Magic Remote" by Infomir on your phone or tablet (free app from google play or itunes). I've made the request to have the developer add the colored buttons to the RC menu (menu option after holding down the select button) but haven't heard an update on that :(
are you trying to configure your stb emu? or you passed that?
