Shield with IPRocket Pioneer - channels drop, buffer every 2 seconds, or dont start at all. Time to upgrade to STB?

by echothreetoechoseven

I've been using shield (had previously) with iprocket pioneer for about a month and I loved it. Everything worked great. The past two days, none of my channels would start. Last night i managed to find one that started playing but would buffer every few seconds.

I'm wondering if my issues are vaderstreams related or kodi? I recently received some amazon gift cards and thought about purchasing a box from there and switching to another sports centric service. Do you think i'll see some improvement with that. I'm new to the iptv scene and i get the feeling kodi is the inferior way.

You are using Vaderstreams. Which is basically the real name of the rebranded Pioneer service which is SPECIFICALLY made for the Kodi.

Vader experience on IPTV-centric STB is not really good and as someone who has used Vader + Dreamlink and Vader + Kodi on Shield. You are better off using the Shield.

It really depends on the service. If the service is good, kodi works well, stbemu on the Shield works well, STB works well. Vader has been hit and miss lately, too many server restarts, going down on big events etc. However, they pride themselves on their Kodi addon promoting it as the best way to view their streams. The Shield does Kodi better than anything. Those are the facts, the rest is up to you.

If none of your channels are working the past 2 days then it's an internet or box/setup issue. The latter of which could really be anything without knowing what you are running/doing.

If the issue isn't a broken box related one then something like Vader or Smoothstreams should work just fine on a Shield and you shouldn't need to upgrade (as he mentioned below, there is nothing to upgrade to anyway).

I agree with others here, it's probably a issue on your end :(

I wouldn't spend any more money until issues are resolved.

Im not sure what all the rocket plans are and which service is which but I know they offer ipguys. Give that a go and see if issues are resolved.

You're going to have to break down the issues bit by bit, process of elimination to see what's up.
