i want to know if its okay to keep dreamlink t1 remain turnedon 24/7 and when not wathcing switchoff the tv but not the dreamlink because waiting for it to turn on and connect etc is anonying..
i have a cheap MXQ before and the seller told me turnoff after use so i was wondering if some thing apply here? as dreamlink is much better build than MXQ im guessing it can tolerate some heavy usage..
Please just make sure you are not still streaming continuously otherwise it could blow up your data plan
I have my dreamlink turned on 24/7 tuned to cp24 when "idling" (I also have unlimited data) and it's worked fine, no problems. I also have the hotspot app installed and my dreamlink acts as a repeater, and again, no overheating or issues whatsoever. It's been on non-stop since I got it a couple months ago.
I've had dreamlink on 24/7, but eventually it returns an error saying "video cannot be played" eventhough the video is playing fine in the background, so not really sure if there's any point leaving it turned on
I can't see why not.. As long as you are bit running the DOL program just make sure you kill the app in a cache killer or make sure that 100 percent that app is close then you should be okay
