I have Smoothstreams. I Just watched the EPL Man-u vs. Southampton at my local starbucks. No buffer at all.
Just to clarify, are you really talking about latency/delay or are you talking about buffering/speed issues?
Every station will be different, you won't be able to get a concrete answer, especially if your sports stations come from different regions.
Additionally, a few milliseconds delay you will never notice unless you have a legit sub and an iptv sub playing in the same room at the same time. If you are doing that, then you'd probably notice the audio sync won't be lined up.
I have a legit cable sub, and I noticed it had delay for watching some sporting events and my dreamlink t1 actually brought in the stuff faster than my legit cable.
So again, your original post is pretty much not relevant. :)
In my experiences and from an overall perspective, this tends to be a completely random, day-by-day, and channel-by-channel thing.
For example I actually did/do a lot of following of online game threads on both Smoothstreams and Vader. Sometimes I'd be ahead, sometimes I'd be behind, sometimes I'd be noticeably behind. The other night FabIPTV was slightly ahead of Vader watching ESPN, but when I switched the channel on both to watch/test my Red Sox game Vader was slightly ahead of Fab. Ect ect
/r/Torula -- but we add an artificial buffer of 10 seconds to avoid problems.
www.xs4iptv.com is overall the best in my opinion
An actual legit sub.
