Anyone have a BuzzTV XPL2000?

by henbone11

I saw a post in another sub about this box about a month ago and I have to admit that i'm intrigued. The specs (which are pretty similar to the Avolv N2, different SoC though. has the Google Play Store as well) look good, but why i'm posting this is to see what middleware options exist on it? Everywhere that I see specs mentioned it just says, "Six middleware options". lol That's not very descriptive. I moved my Nvidia Shield TV to the living room and the Dreamlink T1 to the bedroom, but i'm pretty over the dreamlink. Just too many weird things happen for my liking. I'm looking to get another box with beefier specs without spending Shield type money just for a bedroom box that won't get used nearly as much. I really want to stick with a hybrid box (Google Play Store and the ability to run Plex and Kodi and other Android apps) and not something solely designed for IPTV (like the mag).

I have been doing tons of searching and there just isn't much on the Buzz box and no videos on youtube at all, which is odd. I am not familiar with Mygica, who apparently makes the box. Anyone know much about them? Not trying to stir up a shit storm over box makers or people pushing one type of box over another. At this point, this is really the box I have an interest in and am just trying to find more info on it and possibly user experiences.

There are just some uploaded pics of the GUI around the Web I'd your looking hard enough you will find them. From what I read there appears to be a few discrepancies between Mygiga and BuzzTV..some say its made by them and some say its not. Some think the Mygiga 1800 Pro can be switched over with firmware to a buzztv which apparently can not happen. These are Mygiga sellers that either don't really now or that that thibk they know that this box is enfact made by them. Those that own them though seem to like them on there speed, there ability to handle apps as well as Kodi. Since the OS is newer it does and will run newer versions of Kodi provided there are newer versions of Kodi released. The IPTV live program itself does have it Quarks just like DOL does though. Buzz has a strange epg bug that only allows you to see the future or past of one channel instead of the group. Buzz also did have issues with resolution for some channels and lettwrboxing VOD but I am told this has been fixed via updates. I would say if you can snag one for the right price then get one..it has the specs of a late 2016 Andriod box and the ability to play iptv. If the coders were to stop the supporting the box even at this very moment it would still be a pretty descent box.

Cheers friend and happy hunting

I am using it right now. Happy with it so far, pretty snappy little device. I have it running Fab right now. I tried Ace and it did not work well, all the HD channels were very choppy and unwatchable. (A friend is using Ace just fine with no problems on his dreamlink so I think it might be some incompatibility with the box firmware, not sure.)

Edit: Ace works just fine, I had the mac of my device listed rather than the mac of the BuzzTV app. Once I set it up right, everything worked just fine.

Can someone comment on its ability (or lack of) to record IPTV to an external hard drive or USB stick? It's the most crucial feature for me.
