My dreamlink T1 had a software and Android update this morning.... The new DOL2 looks amazing, and although I can't confirm, I think we may have moved passed kit kat as there is a kodi 17 in the appstore? Can anyone confirm? I assume this has also been rolled out to the T1 plus also. There's probably a whole host of other features, however I had to leave the house 5 mins after it updated.
I like DOL 2. All VOD issues like rew/fwd are fixed with new filter options and a better layout. I see some EPG issues but they don't bother me and I am sure they will fix them soon. Somehow, DOL 2 is faster for me in terms of changing channels and getting other stuff up.
It's a good update, if any devs are listening:
Please make an option to hide groups in DOL. I have like 20 groups, and constantly have to dig through them to find 2-3 groups I want to watch. Super annoying.
Please make it startup DOL after coming back from standby! There is an option to auto-launch an app, but it only works from a complete shutdown. If you come back from standby, it just sits at the app screen.
Am I missing something or is there no longer a parental lock setting available to hide the adult channels group?
The parental setting only allows you to put a pin security on the settings and apps section.
Do they have a forum of some sort to get answers to all these questions?..The fact that favorites don't stay locked sucks
I got another update on the T1 last night and they fixed page up/down in the EPG thankfully, among other bugs
Its still kitkat.. just using a modded version of Kodi 17.
Kodi 17 has been in the apitode for some time now. The T1 plus received the update about a week ago. I have been told that the update does not address the Andriod version it is just an update to the core system as well as the new DOL2 which I am also told is quite buggy and missing some key features from the original DOL. Some have reverted back and some are really liking the new GUI. Enjoy your testing and have fun
