Hi i have a subscription for iptv can I somehow record a channel online without a device and download later when needed?
I just started (literally 2 days ago) with Emby to record/DVR SmoothStreams. It's working well but I still haven't worked out all the kinks with guide data or auto renewing the m3u8 playlist files. Once I get that solved I think I'll be pretty happy with a minimal investment in setup.
Yes tvheadend is probably the only way to do it. Alternatively you could use some screen capture software as well (Camtasia is a good place to start).
