Hey so a couple weeks back I made a thread about the lack of sound on most channels using a t1 with iptvexpress using only hdmi to the tv. Some channels had sound while most others do not, even after I messed with audio settings they still did not work. I recently bought a optical cable to try and some of the channels now work, but there are still a few without sound. Provider problem or dreamlink problem? Anyone else have this issue and most importantly a solution?
What channels was there no sound on? I just finished using express on the T1 (thought I'd see how they're doing after they came back) and I didn't seem to have a no sound issue on the channels that I watched.
I'm using express with t1 plus no problem at all.
There are DEFINITELY problems with Express and the original T1 (non-plus). In fact, the problems got even worse over the last few days - DOL2 app has channels all mixed up, where the original DOL has them ordered properly (for example, on Express with "ULTIMATE ENG/CAN - HD/18+" package cp24 should be on channel 124 - but on the DOL2 app it shows up as channel 64).
The audio problem is also very apparent on cp24 - and in fact, if you take a stop watch and watch the channel for 1 minute, you'll notice there is at least an extra second or two for every minute. That's why all the audio sounds "stroke-ish"... like someone is talking a little "off".
If I have my provider change my MAC address to my mag254, everything seems to work fine. Channels ordered properly and sound is working fine. It's only when I change back to my T1 that all these problems occur.
I can record a video to show, but jatt86 - try watching cp24 for awhile and if you don't notice the "slower speech" try the stopwatch trick.
I gotta test this out because while I don't use Express as much as I once did, it works pretty well on my TO. Just a couple EPG errors on 1 or 2 channels
I use a Dreamlink with Vader, Fab and Epic currently with no audio issues at all. I had used Express with the T1 a couple of months ago before their massive issue without problems aswell.
If I were you, I would try another service. Many, like Epic and Fab, offer a free 24 hour trial. If you have no audio issues with a different service, its an Express issue. If the problem persists, its either a settings problem or the box is defective and you should contact your seller.
