Dreamlink T1 plus freezing issue. Sub or network or device issue?

by gbandi77

Hi there, I have 2 devices (one brand new and one for 6 weeks). First month was just fine using express provided by a popular seller on reddit. Have a new subscription with iptvplanet (crown and express). Both devices freezing with VOD and live TV. Network speed is 20mbs. was able to watch movie on kodi add on o n one of the devices without freezing. What is the issue? is it the sub or the network or the device?

Haven't seen the problem on my week-old Dreamlink T1+

Need more info to properly assess the situation but try using a VPN first. If your ISP is throttling you will know. Its not rare that they have blocked or throttling both IPTV providers. Could also be that you are paying for 20mbs but not getting that consistently so do a speed test when they are freezing to see the speeds you are getting. I dont think there could be a problem with both devices being that they are fairly new

I did a Speedtest on my phone and the wifi was 20mbps. Why did the movie work on kodi add on but not with the sub?

Thanks. Does VPN solve the throttling issue? If so, any recommendations for cost effective VPN service?

This may sound like I'm promoting a server, but when all troubleshooting steps are exhausted, I always put ipguys on the box for the ultimate test to see if the box works right or not.

Ipguys is reliable enough to be used as benchmark in most cases.

Additionally, it's cheaper to spend 8 bucks on ipguys than replace any hardware.

Contact your reseller he might be able to set you up with an ipguys account for a day or so to test. Most resellers have a test account they use for troubleshooting. If they don't, you need a better reseller :)

I've had my T1+ for a few months now. Have 5 portals loaded and all work fine without issue. I mainly use it for live TV but no glitching. Does sound like it might be a throttling or bandwidth issue. Try using wired connection rather than WiFi. I find built in WiFi to be quite poor.
