Why? There is no 4k. There will be no 4k. Why? Because the sheer amount of computer power required to provide it is fucking insane. Period. Not to mention the bandwidth requirements. There is also what, like maybe 6 providers that actually have 4k feeds? Sky used to have 4k but then they changed their copy protection I believe and all those feeds were lost (If I am wrong go ahead and correct me). 4k wont be coming to pirate land any time soon for IPTV because 720p is where everything is. Anything 4k will be upscaled 720p for the most part or upscaled 1080i, but again compute power and bandwidth requirements are massive.
Just stick with the regular mag. HEVC would be fanfuckingtastic as it would cut down on bandwidth costs considerably, but the amount of processing power to get us there is 10x what we are currently using for H264 which is what current providers are using.

I was about to pull the trigger on the 256 box then I notice there is a 257 box releasing .. I like to buy the latest and greatest.. any idea when the 257 will be released guys? Lol
hi BensonTT, We recommend the Mag 254w2 or 256 which are definitely working well. If you set up the video output and resolution correctly to your TV, you will have good picture quality. But it naturally also depends on your IPTV provider. The quality must be good from their side too, otherwise it does not really help anyway.

Personally, I wouldn't wait for a 4k box since there is (and probably never will be, at least for many many years) any providers that will be 4k.
Most channels are not even broadcasted in 4k even as a legit subscriber, so waiting is pointless.
As with most mags, the adoption rate of newer models by iptv providers are always very slow.
Xtream codes providers such as epic and fab aren't even running the newest stalker servers and are so outdated that the mobile apps aren't even supported yet.
Only a few providers such as express even use stalker 5+.
Even the 256 has support issues still with some providers.
Definately get the 254w1 over the w2. The additional wifi upgrades are negligible.
