Which is the best box? I will connect it via wired Ethernet. I only want iptv no games required. I won't be recording anything. It will be connected to a sharp smart tv.

Love my mags. All my clients use mags and never run into issues. The simplicity is awesome. Never used a dreamlink though. All I know is that it runs off of android and has a nice theme.
From personal experience I've had a lot of issues with Mag 256. I've heard others complain too although Mag 254 is rock solid. Compared to my Dreamlink T1 Plus I'd go Dreamlink until Infomir sort the firmware issues out for Mag 256.
Does the dreamlink do refresh rate switching?
The MAG boxes are great for beginners. Rock solid, easy to set up. But if you want a "real EPG", I don't think the Dreamlink T1 Plus can be beat. Source: Had a MAG254, sold it and bought 2 Dreamlinks.
My experience with the mag 256 is nothing but good I am not seeing any firmware issues that are talked about here great box easy to set up and very family friendly to use I also own a 254 but find that my preference is the 256 as I find it a faster box navigating through channels and menus
