Hi, I just subscribed to an IPTV service... they gave me an m3u file and it works fine.
My question is, how do I get the EPG working with no XMLTV file on Android? what IPTV app do you recommend?
ps: If I load the m3u file directly to my SmartTV the EPG works fine, but on all android apps I've tried they request the XMLTV
Check with provider as they should also provide you with an URL for XMLTV
You either need the EPG link, or you have to use a (paid) 3rd party EPG provider like IPTV-EPG or Xtream. Those services will take your M3U file and match it to a list of channels to get the EPG data from and provide you with a link for the EPG data. Xtream also lets you customize the playlist if you want, so you only see the channels or groups that you use.
I use limitlesstv and it works great I even use it on my iPhone By using the GSE IPTV app no EPG issues
Who is the provider? check if they have the URL for the xml.
