I can't see my 5.8 Ghz network. Defective unit or only 2.4 Ghz is available on theme? By the way, my network speed with 2.4 Ghz with router away from about 25 feets is peaking 9-10 mbits, dropping to 3-5 mbits most of the times.
I got an Asus RT-N66U with 20 mbits Internet. Rebooting Asus router helps, but it goes back down after a while..

There is no reason why this box (or any other IPTV box) would need speeds greater than these.
I suspect there is something going on with your home network that needs a once over.
This was tested on an enterprise grade pfsense router with an Ubiquiti UniFi UAP-AC-PRO WAP. Do you have another old router laying around perhaps you can try to bridge it and see if that makes a difference?
Only thing I suggest is try different WiFi channels on your router. WiFi can be affected by many things. I suggest you use direct Ethernet connection or try power line adapters.
My network is going fine with about 10 different device around the house.
Dreamlink also completely lose Internet some times with Wi-Fi on. I have the reboot. Disconnecting and connecting again the Wi-Fi doesn't do anything.
I went on Amazon and checked the comments for this listing and someone mentioned how it is not dual so it does not support 5Ghz.
