How are people funding IPTV servers?

Question

I'm interested in setting up an IPTV server, just the one channel. I've done some research on how to set these up and it doesn't seem too difficult for 1 channel.

How are people funding these servers though? To my knowledge it's expensive to run a server when you've potentially got 1000's of people using it.

How are these servers running with nobody paying?

I also want an answer to this question lmao. i also want to know if different iptv services use the same servers to stream their channels. because i know some iptv services use the same channel sources, but idk if they use different or same servers lol

from what I understand many have agreements in place to share streams.
