I'm seeing lots of Chinese/SE Asia channels, but I'd really like Japanese ones since I'm studying Japanese and my entire family are sumo fans.

There are apps who offer Japanese IPTV (iSakura, etc.) but only those. They don't have US or other country's channels.
It's a good choice to improve Japanese listening via tv live app, I think learning Japanese by watching Japanese-related movies or TV dramas, into their language environment. In particular, you can watch some TV dramas, movies, or news with subtitles ,learning faster, I know that there is a software, FUJITV, free to watch one day after registration. And my entire family are sumo fans. In recent days, NHK has just been on live sumo wrestling.
fuji tv live is good, but expensive, but have been impressed with quality and selection.
