Hello all! I just bought a smooth streams subscription and am pretty happy with it. There is some lagging and freezing but I think that is on my end. That is where I need some help. Can you recommend a budget setup for me? Right now, I am currently running it through kodi on the firestick. I have run a speed test and I am about at a 24 mbps which I think is adequate? I am assuming it would perform much better with a hardwired box. What box would work and is the best bang for your buck? Thanks in advance!
First, try changing servers. Some, I believe, are more popular than others and as such get over loaded. Don't let it just auto pick as that's based on ping not sustained through put.
Second, the fire stick does suck balls. Your best bang is probably the xiaomi mi box. Available at Walmart for ~70. Will have true Netflix/hulu everyone else support. The 4k is a little spotty for some people, but you asked for budget.
