3 questions about how to use IPTV properly

i bought a subscription now (Xiptv).

  1. when using Kodi with EPG (on PC and android smartphone), should i use files (m3u, xml) or URLs? which option is best? i mean if i download the xml and use local path, will it keep updating somehow to the new info? and what about the channel list (m3u)?

  2. beside VLC and Kodi, what other options you know of to play the channels on PC?

  3. is it somehow possible to use EPG in VLC?

  1. Always use the URL. Local files do not update.
  2. You can use BlueStacks to emulate an android environment and install STBEmu
  3. Not that I know of.

  1. yes url always as Fixatron said, 2) Emby is a option as well plex, perfect player list goes on and on 3) nope it's not made for iptv but as it plays everything iptv just works.
