IPTV Freezing

by Flyer_Girl

Hello, I have been having alot of freezing with IPGuys and Crown. Is anyone having issues ? This is weird because i usually never have issues, i have a MAG 254 , it got so bad i had to reset the box but it is still happening, i increased my internet awhile ago so that's not it.

The other thing is maybe my internet service is doing this but i hope not. Is their a way i can tell ? These 2 are always rock solid for me. I use my cable company's modem that i keep my MAG wired into.

I just wanted to check in with others to see if maybe this was a Server issue before i figure out what in the world i am going to do about it. Thank you.

Only way to know if it's on your end is to try a different ISP (difficult, maybe at a friends house?) or try VPN, which will also slow down the connection speed again making it difficult to tell.

using voodoo and freezing too but it might the following in my case:

  1. using stbemu pro on Android TV
  2. wifi
  3. 15mb connection.

gonna have to hardwire, buy a mag box and bump up internet.....

Don't have those services but do you have another device you can test on?

I can't speak for crown as I don't have an active sub with them , but I can speak for Ipguys x100 that it's not suffering from the issues you describe.

When troubleshooting other iptv providers, I actually use ipguys as a benchmark to test against.

What country are you in?

The mag has a built in speed test in the menus. If you can run that it will at least let us know if your network is fine or not. This won't necessarily tell us if isp is throttling your iptv, but I don't think I've ever heard a report of ipguys needing a vpn or being throttled by a provider. Those issues seem unique to xstream codes servers (fab is bad for this, epic etc)
