None of these options the other guys have suggested gets you a true cable company like experience. (enter downvotes now!)
But, most of them also haven't tried a real set top box, yet alone do video reviews like I have :) I have q dedicated YouTube channel for these!
I only tried perfect player yesterday for a few hours, but it's not even close to a dedicated stb. Review coming soon.
Check out the video reviews of the different set top boxes in the sticky over at /r/iptvgta.
Some of the videos I made a few months ago but most are still relative right now.
Once you watch those, it will be clear what appeals to you the most.
Oddly enough, while the dreamlink looks very much like a legit cable sub, my parents prefer their mags for ease of use.
Yes, these boxes are way better than enigma and zgemma, but if you don't those boxes to collect dust or if you're on a budget, you coukd just stick with what you have.
Check out the dreamlink t1 video I posted. It's now been replaced with the much better dreamlink t1+ but it's still similar layout with some iptv recording added in
MAG256 + IPTV service = simple and best 'channel surfing/cable TV' experience I would suggest. Just the UI is outdated. Ukraine style. Lol
if you can get the Open Vix image onto the zgemma, apparently that has a good epg that looks like a UK satellite providers EPG. although I dont have either, you'd have to do some homework
Android TV with live channels tvirl integration isn't bad.
