I have some friends that are from the UK and because they live here in Toronto, UK catchup is a requirement for them.
They have been using Express for many months. Although express is far from perfect, it might be worth checking out.
My friends also tried epic and really liked it, they just didnt have the catchup they wanted.
Express is pretty cheap, too.
Flawless have a pretty solid catch-up service. My cousin lives in Asia so she uses the catch-up more than the actual live TV. No issues so far.

Ace have catchup on the majority of their UK channels and all of the premium ones. Service is 10 GBP a month, don't know what that is in Canadian dollars.
