Go to the main menu, scroll down to the bottom, and on the left side there will be gear icon labeled "Settings". Click that, then scroll down and click on "Apps". From there you'll see a list of your downloaded apps. Scroll down to STBEMU, click on it, then click the "Uninstall" option.
After having uninstalled that buggy pos crap, you now have to bring yourself to the realization that software trumps hardware, the expensive box you bought wasn't really ideal if you wanted to be running stalker based services, and that the majority of the people struggling with this last part are the same ones out there recommending you give STBEMU a try in the first place.
All is not lost though! Plenty of people here still enjoy a quality IPTV experience on their Shields, myself included. Now browse around for providers that instead utilize the simple client and stuff you ideally want to be running through SPMC 16.7.1. Or even Perfect Player if you don't find giving up some select features offered in a couple different services, but I highly recommend the former.
FYI check to see if your provider offers an apk I have several running on the Shield and they run perfect with the remote or game controller no need for an STB
Also one more neat thing you can do with StbEmu that I just discovered: If you have the pro version you can download Informir's remote app and control it that way, including all the colored buttons for sorting and even search in certain menu lists which you can't really do with the basic shield remote.
Go to the app settings & configure key maps, then add key. Push whatever button you want to do whatever then give it an action, then save.
