Splitting an IPTV service to multiple TVs

by TheWorldIsQuiteHere

Hello,

I was wondering if this is possible. Currently, I have a IPTV subscription and I use an STB emulator to access it.

Is it possible to somehow split this access to multiple TVs, like splitting a coaxial connection? If so, how?

Thanks.

EDIT: Also, I have a router that supports an IPTV ethernet port. I don't really know what it's for, but I read something about IPTV VLANS. Can this help my situation in any way? Thanks.

You can run a server and restream on your lan. You could do it with Tvheadend with some research. You need a provider that lets you view multiple streams though.

For an extra 20 per year Ace TV let you use your subscription on multiple devices. http://www.ace-hosting.net/prices/

If you are just talking about watching the same thing on all tvs, you could split the HDMI output from your box to the other TVs.

Wiring might be an issue, though unless they are fairly close together.
