Avoid NTV.mx

by Redevil1987

Edit: this post is intended for your information only. As some here has misinterpreted, and think I am looking for sympathy, help, justice and crying shoulder. Far from it, this post is created to help you make up your mind when you choose IPTV service.

One day after purchasing a monthly subscription I decided to get a refund, simply because I realized the service does not suit my needs especially for such a premium price.

NTV refund policy states that the refund will be issued within 30 days. So technically I could see the money next day or in the worst case in 30 days. Of course, it got even worse.

Each week I would try to inquire about my refund, but the customer service is either clueless, rude, does not want to help or does not intend on issuing refund. I think it is combination of all. I received no real information from them, and all they would tell me is that I would be notified about the refund when it is processed. (it never happened)

After waiting 30 days I asked customer service again about my refund, and this time they had no choice but to give me more definitive answer. Sure enough I did not get one. They said they don't know when the refund would be released, even though it is already over 30 days and they are past their own set deadline.

They told me to wait (maybe 3 or more days) and see if I get notified, as if it is rocket science to issue a refund. Sure enough, I knew that if the refund did not happen within 30 days, it wont probably happen at all. It looked like they were trying to play waiting games hoping I would forget?. One of their customer techs would not even give proper answers and disconnected me from chat room after suggesting he has no idea how to help and I should talk to my credit card bank (thanks for good advice at least).

I had no other choice but to tell my bank that this is just a plain annoying issue and I would like my bank to solve this issue on my behalf. My bank did the job well and quick. But the NTV.mx customer experience definitely left a long lasting bitter taste and I would never come back to them; moreover I would never recommend them to anybody.

Long story short: NTV was lying about refund for the entire month, with no intention of issuing it. My bank finally helped me.

Maybe IPTV is not for you. Maybe.

Who?

So you read around here, where there is a plenty of information to be found on numerous offerings, and then go out and buy some random service you couldn't find any feedback on because....?

Sounds like a losing strategy going in, and 2 cautionary tales being told here imo.

I’ve used ntv before and the service was very good, as for customer service no idea I had a brief conversation once and they were fine but I would never try and get a refund because I don’t spend what I can’t afford to lose, anyone who does is pretty mental

Should of PM'ed me asap, I would Paypal you 10-15 bucks, so you don;t have to suffer 2 months with emails, chats, agony, Banks, postings here etc. and spare you.

IPTV subs are a bit of a lottery, might work, might disappear, might half-work. Even proper companies can drag their heels with refunds or billing mistakes. Expecting super service in this kind of service from people working from home as part time job,, is delusional.

Jesus, all the "lolololol expecting to get what you paid for when ur buying IPTV lol" responses in here are ridiculous. We're paying for a service, and a service is what should be provided. If it's not, we have every right to complain.

I recognize that OP's situation doesn't necessarily fit into that situation. But even so, arguments that essentially laugh at people for expecting to receive the service they paid for - a service that is usually painstakingly advertised by providers - are so fucking stupid.
