What about Privacy, Logging, Userdata etc. - a non-issue?

by McFlysar

Hi. I started using IPTV and tried to find the same details on providers just like you can find them about VPN services:

  • Which country they are in.
  • If they keep logs or not.
  • What exactly they log if anything,
  • if they delete my data if I cancel.
  • what about payment details, etc.

I know in some countries it's not even illegal to stream, but in mine it is and I am worried as many providers only have the bare minimum as a website and if they have a good one it often features just guides and tech-faqs.. but nothing about customer privacy and what they do to protect if shit hits the fan.

Is it really a non issue in the IPTV community? Am I just paranoid or is there a big omission and we should start caring more? We had some busts here who streamed sports that got me worried.

VPN services is legit business, IPTV services? not so much, it's a grey area at best, so I don't think they will provide those kind of info. They can, but it's too much of a hassle I suppose?

If you want to go legit, subscribe to PSVue or Hulu.

If you still want to use IPTV and protect yourself, best bet is to pay with bitcoin, and use a VPN to use their service. (just make sure your IPTV is okay with VPN).

Enjoy IPTV, you are of no importance to any Gov agency, they got their own problems.
