I just re-upped with SS because it was great for watching hockey last year. Three days into my new subscription and it's been u watchable. Constant buffer after about 1-2 minutes and it is on all the channels, not just hockey channels. I tried switching servers but that didn't make a difference. I have added a VPN on my router since last hockey season but my speeds haven't been affected so not sure that is the problem. Anyone else having issues with SS? Any suggestions? Thanks
VPN not allowed.
A vpn should definitely affect your speeds. If it's not, your VPN likely isn't working right.
Double check your ips
I'm using VPN connecting from asia. For the most part I'd say it has been very good for 85% of the time. I primarily use it for sports and news.
For those who VPN screws up the quality, which it does obviously TV streams are not made to be encrypted, you could try a not encrypted connection:
"cipher none" on vpn conf, helps nicely.
Yep. Same issues here. I've been with SS for well over a year. Up until the last couple of months it's been really stable. Once they did their whole server migration thing, it's gone to shit. EVERYTHING that I try to watch is completely unwatchable. I tried all the usual troubleshooting methods, and nothing has worked. As much as I'd like to stick with SS (all I need IPTV for is sports), I've decided to jump ship and find another service.
Yes SS has buffering problems. There service is no where near as stable as it used to be, I've had more issues since fall sports started then I've had in the 4 yrs combined of me having the service.
