Looking at Mag410 (at 140 USD on ebay) comes with S905x. Definitely, there are other android boxes with more ram + better processor (and unlockable).
So I guess the value for mag410/DOL comes from integrated stalker middleware. Honestly, android boxes with perfectplayer/stbemu on firetv2 or shield is not as smooth as DOL or Mag (I only used 254).
So .... my question is .. .are there any android boxes other than well-known ones (DOL, MAG410, AVOV) come with integrated stalker middleware?
I don't know of any others. Honestly I don't think stbemu's on any android device can measure up to the actual mag254 imo, I have a stbemu on a shield and firetv but my actual Mag254 box is my go to, even with the limited specs I get a better picture with my mag box then I do on my android devices. Sports at 60 fps run better on the more high powered android box with the stbemu tho.
There are a few brands you haven't mentioned yet including BuzzTV, Dreamlink and SmartVU. They have great IPTV clients and they do a great job at displaying and streaming channels from services they connect to! I agree that STB Emu is not up to par with many setups.
Buy it and review for us..look forward to hearing how they ingergrated middleware into Andriod
The only other I am aware of...and I’m a research junkie for this stuff...is the BuzzTV boxes.
They have gotten mixed reviews.
Technically you could also add Formuler to the mix but they are just rebranded Dreamlink boxes...or Dreamlink is rebranded Formuler, not sure.
