What do you use to view your iptv
What do you use to view your iptv
Depending on my mood and I do a lot of extensive testing but machines I use are
Vu+ Uno4k running sat - 2 scripts in bouquets for iptv - dreamplex - xc plugin - kodi 17.4
Mag 254 - with good amount of portals (current main one for iptv) including SMART IPTV portal for M3U URLS
Nvidia Shield - with standard apps, USA EPL apps, STB EMU (mirroring some from mag) kodi/spmc, iptv apps
Librelec running on i3 6gb ram old lappy hdmi/ethernet - Kodi iptv addons - pvr client - 3 media addons - running as a plex/emby server (did have tv headend but in progress of fixing ha)
Kodi
Me = Vu+ Solo2 due to satellite, kids = M8S II Android, wife = SmartTV
RPi2 Model B
Yes I currently have an android box was wondering what to use on there I'm currently using Kodi with flawless but there has to be better options available
Setv currently has 3 day free trial. I started mine today and so far so good.
Android box and iptv app from google store
Stb emu
Plex+IPTV Channel or Android phone+PerfectPlayer
Dreamlink T1+
Epicstream with Kodi and Dreamlink T1 Plus :)
Apple TV 4, really impressed with it. Before that was a Dreamlink and before that Kodi.
Smart TV, Fire Stick, & Libreelec box
tvheadend as a backend providing pausing/rewind/recording capabilities servicing libreelec/kodi boxes (NUCs and 905x android boxes) in multiple rooms and android phones. Provider is Vaders which allows multiple simultaneous streams.
Mag254 and VLC player.
Amazon Fire TV Box (2nd gen), Browser sometimes.
Combo of APK's and Kodi
S905 MXQ Pro 4K Service: Gears TV it's just works! Omar is the man! He has been crossed and screwed over by iptv guys like Dexter, but Omar truly cares about us gears subscribers
Currently using on an Android TV Box:
Kodi 17 w vaders plugin, Simple IPTV and default skin: works well and I've customized to be much better experience. Downside is it's not as snappy as some others.
SPMC w firetv skin: for my second IPTV list and testing. Setup almost the same as Kodi
What I've tried in the past:
StbEmu - fast, but buggy and don't like the gui plus not being able to customize your list like you can with a m3u player
IPTV - garbage interface and doesn't work well with Android TV
Perfect Player - works OK, but the interface is only slightly better than IPTV and no VOD. Not optimized for Android TV but works better using a remote than IPTV.
Smart IPTV - liked the interface better than perfect player but the free trial ran out and never felt the need to buy it.
Vaders APK - lightning fast, but no customization, everything's alphabetical, and you have to login every time it seems.
TVirl - like the interface on this one best, but it has severe limitations and is still beta.
Roku - just horrible
Currently sticking to Stb Emu as it loads on android startup and is more wife friendly.
Vader/IPTVSub/Epic with Dreamlink T1+/Android TV
This is my personal remarks. I have tested ipguys, ipsubs, ip express, Epicstream. IPGUYS :best of the best.If u r looking for usa and canadian and even quebec channels go for it. Most Canadian usa and quebec channels are present. Highly stable and great pic quality. Neat channel list and no useless duplicate. Epicstream: confusing. Mess channel list. Many duplicates. Poor in quebec content only 1 or two. Highly stable and great pic quality. IPSUBS : similar to ipguys but poor in quebec content 1 or rwo. Neat and highly stable great pic. IPTV EXPRESS : similar to epic confusing a messed up and duplicate channel list. Highly stable and great pic.
Note: streaming and buffering depends on things like software or version of software u use. Dont know kodi. I use stb but version matter. Use v 0.8.05. If use tv box use dual band if wifi use 5ghz. Use speed of 20 to 30mbps least. Don't use all platforms like kodi and stb emu in one box. Keep it light and fast. I didn't have any freezing or buff issues.
Please note: Unknown 10000 or black screen can be fully fixed. I did it and helped friends did it. I only know the fix on stb emu 1. Do your favorites which you have already done so. 2. Choose exo player NOT auto 3. Try to play in preview each and every channel on your favorites while on exo player.... Any channel that does not play with that player remove it. Voila. Better have 60 channels that play well with no errors than 80 channels on auto player and be facing errors.
I suggest you to get an Android Box with Android TV installed on it. I am using Easybox IPTV box and over all satisfied with it.
