Disappointed with sport stream quality on epicstreams.

As the title says, I am quite disappointed with the stream quality on my Mag254 with Epicstreams. In no way are most of the sports channels HD. The episode guides in the "sports pass" section (NHL, MLB, NFL networks and others) are way off and usually don't even work. These channels are of even worse quality than the plain "sports" section.

Are there any ways to improve the quality and EPG for these channels?

Is there a reliable IPTV service that offers North American + Sports channels in HD?

Edit: I'm not expecting flawless 1080p quality. However, I would like it to be at least equal to some youtube/ustream streams.

Do NOT use Smoothstreams. It's been a lump of shit week in and week out for me. They ended up banning me for saying their service was a lump of shit

They are looking at sorting the epg and listings out soon, as for picture quality just curious what channels are you referring to?

I've had no issues watching hockey on EPIC, all the games are crystal clear. I use a mag254 myself.

If all you want is sports, you could always try smoothstreams.

probably best to ask in /r/ePICStream/ but I ended up changing my dad from them just because the epg was so bad. 98% of the time he watches sports and was damn near impossible to find the correct game.

I use Epic as a backup to Vader and I've always thought the majority of their streams were very good quality. Some, like their TSN feed, are incredible. However, I use Vader as my primary because its more consistently good in my opinion. EPG is better and their sports section is easier to navigate most of the time.

I will say this, while epic is not perfect, its mostly stable and issues are resolve timely. I have been using epic for mainly sports (nba, nfl, nhl) for the last month and while it was a bit lacking in the beginning it has gotten much better. I encourage the people behind epic to keep it up and keep improving.

Also, Epic epg is among the best in my pinion

I hate to say it but none of them have the bitrate close to fibe or Roger's for sports. Smoothstreams is probably the closest. I'm on Ace right now, good thing is they have all the sports channels, but the bitrate could be better. I think the people that notice more are the ones coming from Fine. I've heard rumors that some IPTV providers will be testing out 60fps soon so keep an eye out for that

Agreed. Their sports channels aren't great. They need work. Also, most of the labels on sports pass are old and outdated. It can't be that difficult to at least keep the games updated daily on the corresponding channels. I like Epic for the most part, just can't use them for sports unfortunately. Hopefully they work on it to get it improved..

I had trouble with Epic and my mag254 also. This was quite awhile ago, but similar to your experience...some of the channels just didnt play well (I watch lots of sports, so mostly noticed it on those channels). I switched to Android box and performance and channel quality was much better in Perfect Player and Prog TV

Any ETA when Epic will have hockey working? TSN 4 is frozen so no Leafs, Gamepass has the game as a 1/2 screen
