Good day fellow redditors! Last week i ordered a Xiaomi Mi tv box, mainly to watch movies from my HDD without the need for a pc. While i was reading about androidtv´s i stumpled upon the IPTV topic, which is totally new to me, so im having a few question for you guys: -Which "service" should i use? Im looking for an app or service which keeps the IPs up to date by itself and shows the channels with the ability to sort them. Im mostly interested in US-TV. -Is VPN needed? Many people seem to recommend VPN while using IPTV, but shouldnt i be safe as long as the Owner of the server isn´t giving away my IP-adress? (Im living in Germany if thats relevant) -Is there anything else i need to mind? I hope you have some advice for me, excuse my mediocre englisch. Greetings from Germany!
There are some folks that never use VPN for IPTV and there are others who use VPN for everything they do online. It's not required but it's an option available to you. In some cases you may find that a VPN will improve/degrade your performance. As for looking for a provider, if you're brand new to this, I would recommend looking for a provider that's compatible with Kodi or Perfect Player before venturing down the road of STBEmu.
Look for the providers that offer free trials and definitely try before you buy.
