Hi, I am new to the IPTV community and am seriously considering replacing my satellite set up. One of the key things is whether or not I will be able to get local TV channels. I am in the boston market and my wife would want access to local news etc. I also would like access to local NYC channels as well.
If the answer is that yes we can get local channels, the second question is can I get the local NFL games on those channels?

Boston actually happens to be one of the markets they pull feeds from, especially channel 25. Totally depends on the provider though, and don't think I've seen anybody with more than 2 or 3 Boston locals. NYC is also pretty common. I know vaders has NYC locals now, in addition to at least one Boston channel for east coast NBC/CBS/ABC/Fox in their main lineup.
Best bet is to use an antenna so you can pickup all your locals in Boston and use IPTV for NBC/CBS/ABC/Fox out of NYC. Unfortunately I'm not aware of a simple way to combine them so you can see everything in one guide in one app.
I have no idea when it comes to NFL blackouts. That shit's always been a mystery to me. Vaders/Smoothstreams has a ton of sports channels though so it's likely almost any game will be available one way or another.
