I remember I had this problem with Fab - the m3u link they give includes all the VOD content so there's thousands of channels and hundreds of categories. Sure you can use Xtream-codes to edit, but c'mon, there must be a way to format the m3u link so it DOESN'T include VOD channels?
Sure, get a m3u editor, delete groups you dont like, I do it same way, not interested in 10 seasons of Friends or TV shows I never heard of.

Xtream editor will remove any group VOD you don’t like plus channels. I used it to remove and edit channel names ( VIP USA: VIP UK: <<< names. It also includes free EPG, Channel logos...etc. pretty good and cheap too.

You can ticket fab and ask them to remove vod, that's what I done for.my subscription and now only have live channels
