I bought a 1 month membership with IPGuys that I use with Kodi on a Mac. Some of the crappy channels load fine but most premium channels never load or crash Kodi.
Is this normal? Maybe my setup is borked? Maybe I should try another provider?

It's not common but you chose a terrible provider to start. Ipguys is honestly mainly SD or less quality. Great for parents or old.people but horrific for those who care.
IPGuys has been unreliable for me these past few days, but all the channels do load. What version of Stalker and Kodi are you using? What hardware? Wireless or wired connection?
Others have said it, IPGuys is not the best choice for Kodi because they rely on a 3rd party add-on. Smoothstreams, Vader, Fab, and Epic (among others) all have their own in-house add-ons that work great and if you have support issues they can actually help you.
It's nothing that you're doing wrong. Try other providers as IPGuys has been a bit bumpy for some users the past couple of days.

It happens, it is IPTV afterall. But usually if you can get in touch with the provider (if they are web based) they can resolve these type of issues. Sometimes its simply just bringing it to their attention for them to resolve it.
Ok2 is probably the most reliable of all servers if tested
Also, if the plan is to use kodi, IPGuys was a terrible choice. They are a stalker provider that works best with an STB like a Mag or Dreamlink.
For kodi, an Xtreamcodes provider like Vader, Epic or Fab would be a far superior experience in kodi.
