What am I doing wrong?

by hollisjamison

Tried both Vaders (PM Club) and Fab on Windows Kodi, Windows PerfectPlayer, FireTV Kodi, and FireTV PerfectPlayer. All are laggy, buffering, and my wife instantaneously vetoed the idea of switching after 30 seconds of use on each service. I have a $300 Amplifi Mesh system with a Ubquiti Edgerouter and Cox Ultimate 300 mb/s down internet and have rock solid stability on all other streaming platforms. How does anyone seriously use this as a cable alternative?

I don't just mean the occasional buffering, I mean select a channel and it instantly freezes, then plays for 4 seconds and freezes again for 15 seconds, on every single channel on both providers. What am I doing wrong?

You need a VPN. I am on a 1GB fiber and couldn't go 4 seconds without buffering, shuddering and stopping with multiple IPTV providers. Got a VPN, now I go hours without a hiccup. Turn off VPN and back to studdering like crazy. Your ISP does not like IPTV...

chriskara10

Have you tested them before u got it and did you contact the IPTV provider?

Install stb on firetv. I sell them both and don't have any major issues. You could be connecting to a offshore server, get your reseller to force you a server closest to your location.

Don't know what to tell you other than you're experience isn't normal. I've been watching the NFL game since the first quarter and it's midway through the third. Zero buffering.

That's not to say every channel works perfectly every time, but most work most of the time. If you're expecting a reliable replacement for cable, forget it. That's not how IPTV is.

Get a trial of pm club’s plex service. There is no need for live tv and I have had only minor buffering issues. Unless you like channel surfing, the plex service is all you need

Try different servers on Vader even if it's not physically closer it could still work Better.

Check out GearsTV

In the Vaders kodi addon set your server preference to the one closest to you.

Fire up a VPN on one of the machines then try it. If it works, congrats! Your ISP is almost certainly throttling your non-approved IPTV.

"But...mah net neutrality prevents this?" Nope.
