BEWARE OF ACE IPTV (TERRIBLE)

by michaelsone92

So, yesterday I decided to give ACE IPTV another chance.. and it was a complete trainwreck.. live stream would buffer every five seconds (my internet is 75/7.5), so an hour and a half after I purchased it.. I opened a case to cancel and receive a refund.. so, next day.. I come on.. and what do you know. my service was cancelled.. with no refund?

So, I opened a ticket... asking for the status of my refund.. and got this reply from this mouth-breather.

We received no request for a refund. Unfortunately, as you are not a new customer, a refund cannot be given.

Please see our refund policy here:

https://ace-tv.co.uk/announcements.php?id=3

You are outside of the refund window.

Thank you, Lyle

These guys are a bunch of scumbags..

I would highly recommend avoiding them at all costs.

UPDATE: They got mad at me for 'swearing' after they pulled their bullshit, and blocked me from support. Would not recommend a service ran by ten year olds.

Using them for about a month now. Majority of complaints on their support FB are from muppets who don’t bother to read any other comments. 9/10 it’s someone complaining about buffering or connection issues and when asked are they using a VPN they say No. must be infuriating for support but from what I see they’re a friendly enough bunch. I like the service thus far - reliable as far as IPTV can be

Bit of OT but still "my internet is 75/7.5" - why do people assume that if their download speed is somewhat ok then everything should work trouble free. Not you OP but also seen many people "i have 300up/300down so it is definitely not my connection."
There are more factors than speed only.

LOL! they referenced

  • statutory EU rules. * in their refund policy!

wow, took your money and cancelled your account.

texh89

thats just non sense... no matter what issues are from customer POV.. either help resolve them before canceling the subscription or just refund the money,, its a given that whom ever want to cancel the service means they want their money back, having the subscription but not using it wont cause any harm that we badly need to cancel the subs even if no refund was given.

A 48hr trial is offered for a reason. It's £2. Why are you giving ace another chance?

Why not use another supplier ?

I was lucky and have stuck with the same supplier since day one.

After last 2 months of comments, time to officially: ***** Avoid ACE *****

Sasha1208

I tried AceTV before as well and I was pretty disappointed with service and support.

When there is smoke there is fire... I could choose not to believe the OP..... but

Too many recent complaints about ACE recently. From Credit Card Fraud to EPL block to router rebooting... a basic search will yield many poor results.

Time to avoid.. avoid avoid.

I would like to add my opinion albeit anecdotal , I've been with ACE 6 months, mostly used through a vpn (openvpn on the android box through ivpn) and it for the most part has worked flawlessly, even with the premier league games, sometimes I might not be able to watch in FHD or even sky sports but there will be a channel that it can be watched on without interruption.

Outside of the football I've had very little issue, occasional kick out of a channel but that is mostly on my RPI using their app, and I believe that's more to do with how my RPI is configured.

If you are experiencing issues with ACE, it could be something as simple as peering or a crappy hop - none of which you or ACE can solve. (why trials are offered).

It's pretty difficult assessing IPTV providers, there are so many variables from the end user to everything between that could cause issues and its often just assumed by the user that the provider is at fault. For months I was trying to use kodi for IPTV on various devices and the experience was hit and miss, I've moved away from kodi to a mag box and an android device with stb emu and the experience has been immeasurably better.

Best of luck :P

I had Ace for around 6 months they were great for the first 5 but went steadily downhill. Gave up when I was told to use a VPN for Saturday PL matches..I live in Ireland no block going on here! With Vader's now and happy out

thebannedit

Which channels out of interest? I've been with them for a while and have no major complaints. Occasionally there is a buffer, it's definitely more noticeable across the whole service in the last couple of months but it's rarely unwatchable.

Sounds very dodgy with the refund though. Their moderators really don't seem to be the brightest bunch but then again most of the support requests I see on Facebook are also pretty stupid.

Your issue is not speed or even provider problems. The issue is either your isp throttles iptv or you do not get the best routing. Iptv is one of the hardest things to stream. I am on gigabit and still find most providers just don’t work for me due to either routing or my isp and no a vpn will not make a difference in most cases.

I'm not gonna discount your experience, but I've been using ACE for about a year and have been on its Facebook group for a while and this seems atypical. Their service isn't perfect, it seems like not many IPTV providers are, but they seem rather receptive to troubleshooting. Have you asked them why they canceled your account? Like it seems like if this is all true they should have done one or the other.

I've had Ace for 1 month, and I haven't had any issues at all, works perfect. I bet your ISP throttles

In addition, i'm sure they've had alot of new customers provisioned, from some of the other providers that vanished.
Ace appears to be one of the popular ones, and have a well known presence. It's only a matter of time until they become "over provisioned" and can't handle the load. This isn't a bash on ACE, per se.. as I've had good experience with their service.. but this could be signs of what is to become

opscouse

Had ACE for 3 months and works just fine, no issues. A few buffering moments here and there.

discuit

Ace seems fine for me, no service is going to be perfect, but 99% of the time its great.

bulletjie77

Ace is fine for me, used them for about a month through ipvanish

Most of the server upscaling is done on cloud technology, so typically you don't need to add more hardware to the rack if you have provisioned accordingly, to begin with.
