My parents own and have a paid subscription for an IPTV box. I have a regular android box to use for kodi etc.
I am wondering if I can turn my android box into an iptv box, and if its possible to use my parents paid service on mine as well? Or would I have to pay for a new account?

Yes, you can. Depending on the subscription service your parents use (Most likely a MAC Address based Stalker IPTV Service) you can either copy the URL/Username/Password (If they use m3u based service) to your Android box and use an app like ProgTV or Perfect Player. Otherwise, the service is stalker based and you would have to mimic the config of the box they use exactly (MAC Address, Serial Number, Device id, Make/model/ UserAgent, etc) by using STBEmu apk on your android box. You might have to use a network traffic sniffing tool like wireshark to get their device id, etc.
