Several months ago ACE were contacted by lawyers and issued them with a cease and desist on behalf of Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT) also with the help and backing of BREIN . ACE don't operate in the UK but are registered in doncaster and they've responded to these letters by directing the authorities to their terms and conditions page where it states that "Ace Hosting operates as an intermediary to cache and deliver content hosted by others at the instruction of our subscribers"
As you can imagine this didn't wash with the powers that be but they couldn't locate where or who actually operates ACE in this country, the doncaster address is just a PO BOX. The reason why ACE is being targeted is that they have grown 126% since august just over 20,000 subscribers and as you can imagine this is a worrying trend for the industry.
Many IPTV services are falling some are barely staying afloat and resorting to asking for bitcoin as payment and we all know why that is. 2018 could be a pivotal year for all of them. its becoming increasingly difficult to operate in the UK with ISP's setting up blocks for EPL etc this is a huge market for them and if this is cut off then its curtains in my opinion.
So what now ... the pressure is mounting on ACE as with failure to comply can result in prison sentences or fines big enough to put them out of business anyway, OR to continue to ignore these threats and carry on.
ACE have decided to stop accepting new customers online now and have stopped offering support on social media but only through the ticketing system which isn't really what the authorities were looking for but it shows that they are being effective in dealing with this growing market.
Its quite clear they don't operate in the UK and non of the admin on their Facebook account are who they say they were anyway ( one of the main admins was a middle aged woman named Stephanie Jones for goodness sake )
Anyway to conclude on this and again this is just a rumour right now from reliable sources, ACE is still around for existing customers but for how long who knows. Its going to be difficult to run the service without new customers and simply relying on current customers and re-sellers isn't sustainable. ACE is one of the more reliable services i've used so its sad if they do go
Sounds quite logical but I still don't see how their change is going to appease these authorities. I really wouldn't be surprised most of the FB mods/admin accounts are the real people behind them.
However, the Stephanie Jones character that you mention was only a moderator anyway from what I understand. She used to moderate Fab IPTV or some other IPTV service(s). Supposedly she's from and based in Canada. She just seems like a bit of a FB addict offering fairly useless advice most of the time with very little technical expertise.
