Dreamlink questions

Hi,

I’m new to IPTV and the Dreamlink T2. I have a question about subscription services and selecting a device when signing up.

On some services like IPTVsubs the Dreamlink is not available in the drop down menu when signing up. Will it work if I select another device like a MAG, AVOV, ect?

On other providers Dreamlink is available but for the T1 and T1 plus. The T1 plus uses the same DOL2 client as the T2 so will selecting T1 plus work on this device? I figure since the T2 is a relatively new device providers just haven’t listed it in the drop down menus.

I’m also curious about the MAC addresses. When I connect to my router using 198:168:0:0 I can see all my devices and MAC addresses connected to it via Wifi/LAN. When I look at the Dreamlink the Mac ID is different then to one displayed inside the DOL2 app and printed in the box. Is this normal?

I’m really partial to the interface of DOL2 and how pretty and user friendly it looks any information and advise on setting up these devices would be appreciated :)

For any stalker based devices such as Dreamlink t1, plus and t2 or Mag, Avov, Etc they all use Mac address to connect to the server so selecting Mac will work.

The Mac you need is the Mac in the DOL App.

As was said, many providers won’t list the Dreamlink at all. They will list Mag as it is the standard for MAC based devices. Just select that and give them your MAC address and all will be well.

The MAC is your DOL2 Mac, not the device Mac.

As for services to use, its best try many services and find the one that suits you best. If you let us know what content you are looking for we can give suggestions.

I set up my dreamlinks yesterday! Gave one to my sister for Christmas and kept the other. I went with express tv and it seems pretty good. The HD channels don’t quite look HD resolution but overall it’s very good selection

The set up was much easier then I anticipated. Just enter the portal address and your done lol. Hopefully Express isn’t IP locked like other services I read about since I set up my sisters device at my house.

Love the Dreamlink and it’s channel guide interface! Feels just like my cable box but with a slower loading time for the channel show information
