What box is best for iptv

by IPTV241

So atm I have mibox, should I get dreamlink t1 plus for iptv or upgrade to Nvidia shield? (idc about gaming) or do you have another suggestion ?

I absolutely hate the EPG in dreamlink. Its slow and takes forever.

BuzzTV XPL3000 seems to be excellent and I love the UI. Dreamlink does not offer anything special anymore.

NVidia shield is the best android type system box, expensive yes, pc world currently sell it for £159 with remote and game controller, or if your on a budget then the latest generation amazon firestick with a Ethernet adaptor, costs £44 and use stb emulater app. but don't put other apps on it as it may cause the stick to under perform.

IPTV gives a user control over the content they want to watch. For example, a sports IPTV provider can stream tons of sports content to a user. Some IPTV setups are almost a necessity such as those who have recently moved from another country and want their old TV shows and broadcast in their native language.

There are many providers from Arabic to Filipino, it really just comes down to finding a good one. The best IPTV service provider I have used for some time is Set TV Now which works on many different devices from Android boxes to a PC.

With various internet-based platforms such as YouTube and Netflix creating their own original content that is only available online rather than on some TV channel, it has become increasingly important for people to buy a set-top box that would give them access to this content. At the same time, these VoD streaming services are not quite able to replace live TV just yet. The Dreamlink product line unites the best of both worlds, live TV via IPTV services and access to Android VoD apps.

MAG 250 and 254 boxes are the classic way to stream IPTV content. There is also a Mag 256 updated version of these popular IPTV boxes with faster hardware. The interface on Mag boxes may look a little old but it gets the job done. Picks Best IPTV Set Top Boxes 2016 It is a little old school as most streams will have no pause and play button much like before Tivio came along. Still, it does work well for many and allows them to play their favorite content without paying for cable or satellite TV. The older Mag 250 and 254 are the most commonly used boxes and work well with most any IPTV providers. The basic setup is to send the MAC address of the box to the IPTV service which adds it to their whitelist.

I have both a MiBox and buzz xpl3000. The buzz is bar far a way better viewing experience. Better EPG, faster load times, snappier overall, ethernet port and just plain easier for my wife and kids to use. I do have a STB like remote for the MiBox but you can't record like the buzz. The mibox is good but the buzz is definately better. I thought about the dreamlink t1+ but it's an older version of Android and the specs are not as good as the buzz.

Depends on how you go about getting your service. Is the Mii Box not doing something you wish it'd do? What apps are you using??

Basically it comes down to usage. If you want iptv specifically, don't get the shield.

I have a shield and love it, but I know it's limitations. Most stb that I have used give me a better iptv experience tho. Including the dreamlink, buzz, mags, and avov.

Be sure to check out the video reviews which are a bit outdated but they are over at /r/iptvgta in the top sticky.

I never use the shield for iptv unless I'm testing an account for a client
