Hi i’m looking for some advice on iptv in general

I’m looking for an iptv provider who do mainly uk channels and vod. Was recommended ace but they are no longer taking customers.

I was also looking for advice on whether to run it through my samsung smart tv using smart stb app or smart iptv app? I also have a raspberry pi 3 running librelec and kodi 17.4 so could use an addon if available. I was also recommended a magbox and would be willing to purchase one if it’s worth it in terms of makong life easier.

One last thing is advice on a vpn, do i need one if so could someone point me in the direction of a how to guide currently have sky broadband and run it through a tp link router.

Looking for the easiest options don’t mind updating and troubleshooting.

I would recommend that you purchase a dedicated STB (such as a MAG box) because if you're going to pay for a service, you might as well ensure you have the best experience possible. As for provider, let me know if you would like a 48 hour trial of FabIPTV, they do not require (or allow) the use of a VPN however

If you would still like to get ace you just need to look for a reseller, otherwise I would recommend flawless for UK good luck on your iptv journey.

Vaders has great PVR integration with kodi. I run latest LibreElec on my RPi3 and it works fantastic. Has about 400 English channels [and a whole bunch of international ones]. If you already have the hardware to run kodi, I'd really think twice about purchasing extra hardware to run IPTV. Kodi works fine as is. The Vaders add-on has VOD, and the PVR integration with Simple IPTV has an accurate EPG and AFAIK it allows time shifting and recording [never tried it myself]. Don't get sucked into the hype on STBs, kodi works fine unless you have specific needs.

They do have KODI Addons as well but should work fine on Smart IPTV or SMART STB.

You can signup for NordVPN and they have a coupel of servers in the UK. You can flash your router firmware to OpenWRT and then setup VPN on your router. Or you could buy a plugin VPN device some providers sell them as well.
