1 subscription ... multiple devices. What actually happens?

by fooali

This is the kind of thing many providers frown upon I was wondering what actually happens when you use 1 subscription streaming on different devices ie Laptop and TV. with my provider they just throttle the connection and it becomes impossible to watch. this is more often than not done accidentally obviously.

I've heard other providers just ban you altogether or give you 3 strikes and you're out kind of thing. I'm not really interested in taking out multi room subscriptions as i think its a waste of money and plus i have free view terrestrial TV which is a hell of a lot more reliable anyway

Be interesting to see what rules other providers have in place. Feel free to add your experiences.

You bet. Will send it now.

I guess this varies provider to provider.

Most provider charge for extra connection or don't offer it at all.

Typically you can setup multiple devices, but can't watch on multiple devices at the same time.

Providers will usually give you 1 connection, and you can pay a bit more for extra ones. Iff you turn on another device it will just disconnect you form the first device. They have no reason to throttle or ban anyone since you can only use one connection anyway.

I have vaders and you can use to 5 devices at once. Everyone else is mostly 1 unless you want to pay more. But it automatically kicks the other connection out in most cases.
