Vader - Xtream - EPG Question

by dave9600

I'm new to Vader so I'm not exactly sure how they handle programming. My old provider would reuse channels for live events which made it almost impossible to maintain a valid EPG. So... does Vader ever reuse channels or do they use the Live Events channels for all live events?

The reason I ask is that I've noticed when I use Vader as an EPG source in Xtream there are a lot of regular channels with no EPG data. I can correct this with Xtream but if they reuse channels then this means the EPG is going to be wrong. If they don't then I'd like to figure out a way to use Xtream as an EPG source for the regular channels and then use Vader as the EPG source for the Live Events channels. Being new to Xtream I haven't figured out exactly how to do this or if it's even possible.

Is there anyone here that's done this that would care to explain how they've done it or if it's even possible?

Yes they do. Very annoying when you are watching a show and it suddenly changes to some random sportsball event.

EPG still shows what was previously on the channel. Only the "Sportscenter" (or whatever it is called) portion of the app is updated with the actual sporting event.

Idk if ill be any help but i will try to answer this, as far as i know you can only have one epg source even when you combine 2 lines in xstream it only uses the first epg. I think theres ways you can use 2 epg but its lot of work and way over my head it would be great to see them add this in the near future. I believe vaders and xstream both use schedules direct as there source anyway but dont quote me on that. I find vaders epg to be 90% accurate for all the regular channels, as far as the live events channels go (again i could be wrong just trying to help i dont personally use these) if you add them to your epg they will be blank most of the time until theres an event on. Im not entirely sure what you mean by reuse them but i wanna say yes, as in you should be able to add them once n the live events will pop up just like they would in the live events section(streamlinks should stay the same )

Mostly no, all the live events are contained. However during big events anything goes, and it's really annoying because I'm probably the only person watching whatever was on Epix or whatever channel they decide to supersede. 99% of the time the channel is the channel though, although some are still labeled or categorized incorrectly 24/7. Also Xtream won't give you EPG data for all the local network channels which kinda sucks and it's a real pain in the ass to combine both EPGs into one.
