GSE IPTV (iOS) on hotel wifi

by AntivianMage

Hi, i am staying at a hotel, but while i am connected to the hotel wi-fi, GSE IP-TV does not download my M3U playlist or play any channels. When i switch to celluar everything downloads and plays like normal. I tried using a VPN while connected to wi-fi, but no difference. Any ideas?

They blocked the port. Try vaders since they use port 80 and it will work fine. Let me if you need a trial to get you through the day.

Hotel WIFIs usually have a login page for you to login or a confirmation where you click I ACCEPT or something before the internet works. So, i am sure whatever device you are using, you haven't done that yet. That's probably one of the reasons why it isn't downloading anything but it says you are connected. What doesn't make sense is how you were able to connect to a VPN if the above issue is present. Please let me know if this fixed it. Thanks!

Try manually setting your DNS servers? Could also just be really slow bandwidth restricted connection.

It has to be slow internet. If you vpn than all that data goes through that vpn tunnel, bypassing all firewalls or rules they set at the hotel. Your vpn location would be setting the rules. Stay on cellular, hopefully you got unlimited data

The hotel must have a firewall blocking port, they also has the ability to block direct streaming.

Also, most streaming players use an extension that firewall block (TS) etc.
