Will PVR/Record options only work with internal storage? I tried two USB key's (only one completed formatting); but doesn't show up in PVR settings as storage location. Is SD card the only option? Would rather not purchase one just to find out there is a limitation with this box and PVR function.
FAT32 got it working correctly just the box would not format the drive needed to do it on PC first. Now issue I see is that when I go to record it hangs on the screen with 3 options (Return to EPG, Record, Set a reminder) it worked for first recording now hangs when attempted to setup a second item. Any ideas?
The device has an USB port where one can insert a USB flash drive. Once you have the USB drive connected the device will recognize it. The recommendation the manufacturer gave me was to format the USB as NFTS. I contacted them because i was having problems, I still have, with the PVR capabilty because I was never able to record a program for the whole of the set up time.
I have a micro SD card and the recording works just fine. I tried earlier with an USB drive and if I remember correctly, it needed to be formatted as fat or fat32.
