Formuler Z7+ or BuzzTv 3000

by skb101

As an Android iptv box which one do you guys prefer? I heard Formuler has some epg loading issues but the mytvonline app is great. Heard good things about Buzztv too but don’t know about their tv app though. Would appreciate your thoughts mates.

I have the XPL2000 and had the T1 Plus. I can’t speak for either box but I will say the Buzz EPG is night and day faster.

I don’t think there is a perfect box. I’m a Dreamlink/Formuler guy. I love the UI. It has its issues...slow EPG, the standby thing, Z7+ won’t timeshift properly for some reason...but I can live with those issues because its great quality, easy to use and they at least seem to be trying to improve it with regular updates.

The Buzz intrigued me but I didn’t like the UI as much and have heard its just as glitchy, if not moreso, as the Dreamlinks.

Good luck in your decision! Haha

Z7+ owner. European model, purchased from a seller in the USA, I'm in Mexico, Telmex is the ISP, my download is 8-9, less than 1 up. Asub with vaders. With this box at my home location, I have constant buffering, factory reset, still buffers, to the point it is not viewable, have changed out ALL possible things, from power supply, hdmi cable, to a different TV, no change. I took this to a friends house, he has 28-30 down, no buffering at all. The strangeness about it all, I have an intel NUC, linux, and kodi, and using the same sub from vaders, I have had very little issues, the same with a firestick.

I have a buzztv 3000 and the tv app has epg issues too. Channels not lining up etc. I use perfect player on mine lol

The one thing i do like about it is that is runs Android so u get the best of both worlds.

Can't comment on the Z7, but I had both the T2 and the XPL3000. I prefer my xpl3000 over the T2. Quirks about the buzztv - VOD defaults to 16:9 after each restart/wake from sleep which is a pain for letterbox content. You can change the setting, but it goes back to 16:9. Would be nice if it loaded straight to Live TV like the Dreamlinks. Remote doesn't have a power button for the TV like the T2. The Netflix app seems to be a mobile app so it doesn't allow you to navigate as nice and searching is a pain. Not sure about other apps so possibly the Android version is a mobile version.

What I like about it - A little more snappier as it has more RAM. I like the interface better. EPG seems to load faster. Better build (also has different color options and a carbon fibre option).

Best to try them both out if you can. I ordered both from Amazon.

BuzzTV XPL3000 gets my vote for it's versatility and least amounts of bugs, etc. The EPG is so much faster and i prefer their interface more. Also you can change your MAC Address too with BuzzTv.

I just got a t2 to replace a t1 because the menu lag was unbearable. Turns out the T2 has the same issue, just slightly faster. EPG issues on both (though I understand this is across the board for iptv.). So I returned the T2 because my year old Minix android box is lightening fast in comparison, and I am on the hunt for another android box with stalker support that isn't so laggy. Browsing here, I discovered the Z7+ which I understand is basically a t2 with double the ram. I also see the buzz3000 talked about. Both seem to function the same, both with stalker support and from what I can tell pretty close specs. I know this is asked many times over, but which offers the least amount of menu lag? After having a t1 and t2 I'm starting to become weary of dreamlink/formular but so many others swear by it. The buzz is approx $30 cheaper then the Z7+, and I am more familiar with he mygica brand.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks guys for all your posts. It seems like mixed reactions, difficult to decide. As Manosteel mentioned, both have their issues.

How do the two model compare in term of recording to external hard drive/Microsd card?

What's the best deal for the BuzzTV 3000 for USA buyer?

Had a Mag 254, T2, Z7 and finally a Buzz3000. The Buzz is head and shoulders above the rest! The Buzz can connect directly at 5G to ipGuys (Apollo) with no interface or app in between. No mytvonline app, no emulator, no APK required. I noticed Huskies 2710 had a complaint about ipGuys quality - not with this box. My Mag 254 had the quality Huskies complained about and I too used ipGuys for backup. Running that famously stable ipGuys (Apollo) is a whole new game on this box. It is smooth and very sharp (HD++) with a full EPG. VOD is also great and I can enlarge the icons so I can see what I'm looking at. I'm going to give it a month and if it keeps behaving like this it will become my primary IPTV.

For me, Easybox IPTV box is the best android iptv box.
