Mailboxes can store your mail and keep it from getting wet when it rains. Android boxes allow you to use android boxes on your TV.
I think the main advantage of magboxes is that they're solely designed to play IPTV video (I have never used one). The main advantage of android boxes is that they can be used to run other apps like Terrarium, Kodi ect.
Android boxes offer more flexibility - you can run other apps.
Mag boxes are just simpler to use - it's all personal preference.
If you want to watch TV, get a MAG, if you want everyday to play with crappy Android apps pretending to play TV, get a crappy Chinese Android box.
Depends. If you have multiple TVs in your house get an Android box. A mag box needs a subscription for each one. I personally dislike the mag, period. Dreamlink is a much better option if you want a dedicated box for TV only
It really all depends on the MAG model. The older MAG 254 are kind of not the best option right now to buy since there are plenty of newer ones MAG, BuzzTV, DreamLink, etc that can do a lot more and quicker. I personally prefer android boxes that come with native IPTV support such as BuzzTV just because they are good at IPTV as well as other Android TV uses for games, entertainment apps (kodi, terrarium, etc), even browsing, etc. It comes down to your use case and what you want to do with it.
The Chinese Android boxes get a bad wrap but if you do the research you can find powerful boxes that function great for quite cheap.
Mecool M8 S Pro flashed with custom Android TV rom is a good example.
