xtream-codes API documentation

by Atrpm

Just looking for some information. It's my understanding that most if not all IPTV providers use xtream-codes IPTV panel to manage their service. I have been looking online for some documentation around xtream-codes API without much success.

I'm looking into potentially building a tvOS app and I think it would be a better experience if I use xtream-codes API instead of M3U playlists. Does anyone here knows more about this topic?

If you do make sure to include both options because most people have no idea what xtream-codes API is and only ever deal with m3u links. FYI I'll buy a good app if it gets made. iPlayTV is the best I've found so far but I really wish they'd have more options like showing the categories in order rather than alphabetically.

Lots of providers don't touch xstream codes.

Xc is pure garbage to be honest!

Services like torula or smoothstreams as far as i know design their own streaming platform, while other big ones like ipguys, express, gold, star, voodoo etc all use stalker middleware.

It sounds to me like you have a lot of researching still to do about how iptv servers work. Just take your time, lots of reading and go from there.

For a startup company, by the time you're done getting streams, paying for a server and paying for xc fees (scams!) you will easily be out a couple hundred dollars at minimum.

This prices out most people immediately, even if they just wanna stream one or 2 channels for personal use.

Consider checking out stalker middleware, or even Nova middleware and a nice server at home to play around with before dropping thousands of dollars or monthly fees for garbage like xc
