Hey all, just wondering if I'm understanding this right....is it the portal application of IPTV that is causing the slow loading EPG, or the is it a matter of the manufactures correcting how the cache the EPG? I've noticed with Kodi that the EPG is never an issue...any help would be appreciated :)

Bit of a joke this DOL, don;t understand why people buy these boxes, or I guess they never seen better in their life then a Kodi app. A TV app/box that can not do the simplest thing like a EPG properly, is like having a water tap at home, but no glass to drink from, joke.
I found http://www.freesourcetv.com who offer a lot of m3u lists. And more, they update everyday the website. Take a look.
Its the way that DOL2 interacts with the server that is the issue. Unlike kodi that pulls the EPG on startup but doesn't cache any information, DOL2 doesn't have that ability for some reason.
The information as to why it can't pull the information on startup is scant. Formuler/Dreamlink support forums seem to indicate that they are working on the problem but haven't found a reasonable solution. The program will cache the EPG as long as it doesn't completely disconnect from the portal. Placing the box in Standby, for example, does not delete the EPG, but turning the box completely off, or switching portals, will.
