New to IPTV with a crapload of Hardward

by xxmarcellusxx

Good afternoon all. Just looking for some advice on what to do here. Planning to subscribe to an IPTV service but an interested in the hardward/platform. I have several Android devices running kodi (incl Raspberry PI 3, Beelink, FireStick etc). Some of these boxes have hardware that significantly outperforms dedicated IPTV boxes (ie MAG, Buzz etc). My question is from your experience would you run a good IPTV service (ie Vader if possible) through Kodi or spend the extra money and get a dedicated IPTV box such as MAG, BUZZ. Thank you in advance and if this has been asked I do apologize as I have searched and have found similar style threads without being so specific.

IPTVGOD

I have setup service on kodi, stbemu, buzztv, fire tv, mag and all work pretty well. Benefit to buzz, dream, mag is they all have built in iptv software. Reg the mac address and boom your off to the races.

Boxes that run both stock iptv software and android os are the best imo because u get the best of both worlds. I use buzztv 3000 and it works pretty amazing.

Agree with the majority. If you are techy...and obviously you are if you are collecting hardware like that...then you can run IPTV successfully through a multitude of apps for your various android boxes. Try a bunch of them. Kodi isn’t your only option. Try ProgTV, Perfect Player, STBEmu (MAC registration required with your reseller), etc. See which one works the best for you.

If, on the other hand, you have a family or girlfriend who is not so tech savvy, an STB can be a far easier solution.

I use STB emulator on all my android boxes, turns it into a mag interface. MAG boxes do have less ram yes, but they perform just as well if not better than most android boxes.

Vader runs great through kodi. Download STB emu from the play store and run it on one of your android boxes would be a good option for you. It essentially runs identically to a mag box

BitIPTV

Dedicated IPTV box is preferable if you are not tech savvy and just need things to work. But, if you don't mind a 5-15 minute time you spend configuring things, then you can get one of those Android Boxes and save some money. They are capable of doing more than just IPTV. it just all depends on your use case and how much you want to learn about IPTV, etc..

Appreciate all your responses. Would u recommend STB Emu or the PRO version

I run Vader's on a variety of boxes and it works well on all of them but for pure user experience the formuler z7 wins ( I can live with the slowish loading EPG)
