"Moddro" is ok, but really the stream quality and selection is not great. But hey, it's free though.

Buy a Amazon Firestick, put stb emulator on it, give ur provider the mac code and ur good to go. Just don't put diff apps on the Firestick as the processor cant take it, but works fine with just iptv on it.

I have a Raspberry pi 2 thats running libreelec (kodi) on it. Works perfect and totalt investment is around 40 dollar + the subscription.
I can also use my tv-remote to controll it, i also have the kodi app on my mobile if i want to use that as a remote.
No best way exists, what you have is fine for IPTV.
